Being a prosthodontist is extremely rewarding. Every day I have the opportunity to help people regain function and aesthetics, which can have a significant impact on their quality of life.

Each person is unique and their needs and expectations are different. Whether I’m placing a crown or performing a full-mouth restoration, I pride myself on always presenting the patient with all possible options. I walk them through how each restoration works, what the procedure requires, and how each affects function. It is important that people understand their options and what to expect, so they are able to make informed decisions about their smile!

I have practiced since 1995. A third-generation dentist, I was always around adults who talked about dentistry, their patients, and the fulfillment they found in their profession. It sounded exciting and I knew, at an early age, that it was the ideal career path for me.

My Doctorate of Dental Surgery was completed in 1995, at the Colegio Odontologico Colombiano. I completed a two-year general practice residency from 1996-1998 at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Moving across the country to California, I completed my formal education with a three-year prosthodontics residency at Loma Linda University, and then returned to Florida.

In addition to seeing patients in my private practice, I have taught at NSU School of Dentistry Department of Prosthodontics for the past decade. It’s rewarding to help young dentists become passionate about the specialty.
